FAQs

ACUPUNCTURE

  • Yes! Many of our acupuncturists love helping with many issues related to woman’s health and
    supporting you throughout your journey.

  • Depending on what you are working on - we usually recommend weekly when first starting out. We do recommend coming in more for chronic issues and coming in less for more acute issues. Your acupuncturist will help give you guidelines for your specific needs.

  • Acupuncture is actually very helpful if you are sick! However, if you have an active high fever - please stay home. Once your fever goes down, acupuncture can help improve your immune system and help your system get rid of any remaining illness or symptoms.

  • Acupuncture targets the meridian points throughout your body - these points are responsible for the flow of your energy or Qi. When something is imbalanced, acupuncture helps to unblock and reintroduce the normal flow of Qi. Acupuncture also activates your natural healing system - so when we put a needle in an area that needs support, your body will now know that it needs to focus and help that area.

  • Bleeding, bruising, and soreness may occur at the insertion sites. Our acupuncturists are highly trained in the traditional wisdom as well as modern techniques to provide exactly the care you need with very little risks. Acupuncture is safe for children, pregnant women, seniors, and everyone in between!

MASSAGE

  • Yes some of our therapists can work on children 11 years+

  • You may undress to your comfort level. You will have a sheet and blanket draped over you with only one part exposed while the therapist is working on it. Clothing does act as a boundary, so if you keep an item of clothing on, your therapist will not work on this part of you.

  • We recommend getting a massage at least once a month unless your therapist tells you differently, depending on your specific needs.

  • Yes, it is customary to tip your massage therapist at least 10-20%.

  • Depending on the type of massage and the tightness of muscles it can be. Communicating with your massage therapist is very important if you are uncomfortable. It is also extremely important to properly hydrate and take care of your muscles after a massage so they don’t get sore. An Epsom salt bath is always a good idea!
